Glenn Hall is a top notch photographer. He is my long time friend, neighbor of sorts, and fellow artist in the Paducah, KY area. I have deep respect and admiration for Glenn. When he contacted me and expressed a strong interest in one of my hand colored etchings - the image of which I had posted on Facebook - I suggested a swap. I told him I needed some new photos for my music webpage.
He agreed, told me to make a plan for a shoot. I told him I wanted to bring my electric guitar, acoustic guitar and sax to the studio. I wanted to stand up and play the electric guitar, sit down and play the acoustic, and have a few with the sax.
We set a date and had the shoot. It was great fun, it took about an hour of studio time, and Glenn also showed me some of the very cool non-photo prints that he is doing. He sent me the photos, and while, like most people, I am self conscious about photos of me, I like the results from the session. It was a fun time and a good collaboration. These are some of my favorites. I’ll put more up later. I titled, signed and dated my print and gave it to Glenn. He tells me he really likes it. Two happy campers, errr…artists!
