Political money gone amuck no doubt

I have suffered through a couple months of these awful TV ads criticizing Conway for his so-called support of the health care reform bill. I have no idea who is funding these messages. It is a direct result of the Supreme Court decision overturning all these precedents and turning the big money loose to do what it may, in relative secrecy, in our political process. It certainly doesn't seem to me to be the same freedom of speech issue that the constitution framers were considering when they wrote the first amendment. But for the moment, the money will flow.

But I have to admit that I did grin a little today when I saw and heard a hard hitting political ad from some entity that I have no idea who they are attacking the chamber of commerce. It's about time! The chamber has had disproportional influence on discourse in the US for too long. It's good to see someone who has the guts to go after them. It's a long time coming.

I do think that these folks should have to make it clear who is coughing up the big bucks to fund these ad campaigns. Is that too much to ask, Mr. Roberts?

Geez, what people will go thru to avoid having to pay taxes. If they can't contribute that to the welfare of the whole, when the society has been good to them, then they aren't really that concerned about the health of the country are they?
